Juice Generation, which was established in 1999 and independently owned is located in the Williamsburg area of Brooklyn, New York. As apart of the companies mission, Juice Generation donates a part of their sales back into the community through an initiative called 1% For the Planet. The initiative allows the company to give a portion of the company sales to Harlem Grow, whose goal is to expose young children to the benefits of leading healthier lives and Catskill Animal Sanctuary who aids in rescuing and caring for animals who have been harmed or treated with cruelty.
Juice Generation has been featured in InStyle Magazine, US Weekly, People, O – The Oprah Magazine and Health Magazine to name a few. They currently have 14 locations in Manhattan and 1 in Brooklyn with plans to expand to Long Island and Westchester.
The juice shop offers a range of fresh juices, smoothies, acai bowls, vegan lunches, cold presses and bakery goods.
There is also awesome space sit and dine in if you have some extra time to spare.
After googling vegan restaurants in Brooklyn and hashtags on my IG account I came across this juice bar. I was a little apprehensive at first because I wasn’t sure what to expect. I defiantly knew I would at least leave with a fresh juice if nothing else looked appealing. After, a few minutes I decide on the following items:
Cold pressed Watermelon and Basil drink
Spicy Mango Rolls
Vegan Matcha (not shown)
Vegan Blueberry Donut
As far as the taste of the food, it was AMAZING!! I had a difficult time adjusting to the vegan lifestyle so this was a great way to experiment with an assortment of tastes. I would most definitely recommend anyone who is a vegan/vegetarian or just loves fruits and veggies to locate their local Juice generation and give it a try. Im certain you would be back for seconds.
